HARTniek’s ART
About me
Hi!
My name is Anniek, I am 19 years old and live in the Netherlands.
I have been busy drawing all my life, from when I was a young girl who grew up in the Norwegian snow, to now, young adult, still growing up and trying to form myself and shape myself.
I have had some issues in the past (as far as I can say so as a 19 y.o.) and I have had, so to say, some problems getting over that. Painting and drawing gave me the possibility to express myself - without any limits or boundaries - and that gives me the courage to try out new things and get the motivation to learn new techniques and try out several things at once. I love passing on my feeling for art, the feeling I get when I'm painting, and sharing that with others is all that I can wish for.
Having said that, I am busy right now trying to get a little bigger in the art world, and if I were to tell my dream, I hope to become a real artist one day.
If you have any tips or tricks, feel free to tell me!
Xx, Anniek

Materials
• Canvas
• Linen Canvas
• Wooden panels
• Wooden planks
• Cardboard
• Drawing Paper
In 2013, I got the opportunity to use oil paint, as I signed in at an art workshop, meaning I would pay for lessons and materials and a young woman named Anita would teach me how to use the materials correctly.
Anita is a professional artist herself and a big inspiration for me. Every week, I am to be found working at her workplace or studio.
Anita let me use canvasses and linen canvasses to start with, and nowadays I use wooden panels a lot too.
I live in the forest and sometimes, when the wind is howling outside and a tree falls, I cut off pieces of wood and use its wood to paint on. I also have used pieces of thick paper or cardboard, and overall I make sketches in my book “Tu propia atrevete un aventura”, which means “dare to live your own adventure'' in Spanish. The pages are made of brownish-white paper, and that is my most used material for sketches on a daily basis. I also keep my poems in there.
In the future, I am so lucky to paint on walls and decorate homes with paintings as well, an opportunity I am very excited about!
